Selecting recipes

The Menu page is your meal plan for the week — only the recipes and QuickBites you’ve put on the menu, grouped by category. Cross off each one as you make it; what’s left is what’s still to come. The menu is shared with everyone in the kitchen and updates live.

Add to the menu

You build the menu mostly from your recipes. Each recipe card and QuickBite row there has a + Menu button — tap it and the item joins your menu, and the button switches to ✓ On menu.

You can also add from the Menu page itself. Tap Add items in the header, and every category with something left to add opens up to show its off-menu recipes and QuickBites as tappable buttons — including categories with nothing on the menu yet, so you can start one from scratch. Tap a button and the item joins the menu right away. Tap Add items again to return to the clean, print-ready view of what’s on the menu.

When nothing’s on the menu yet, the page points you to your recipes — or tap Add items to browse everything by category.

Cross off what you’ve made

Each item has a Made it checkbox.

  1. Tick Made it when you’ve cooked a recipe or used up a QuickBite. The row stays in place, struck through, so you can see at a glance what’s done.
  2. For a recipe, crossing it off also records that you cooked it — that feeds Mirabel’s meal suggestions. Un-tick it to undo both.

A crossed-off item stops adding its ingredients to the Pantry and your Groceries list — you’ve made it, so there’s no need to shop for it.

To take an item off the menu entirely, tap the × at the end of its row. That removes it without recording a cook.

Clear the week

Once you’ve crossed something off, a Clear cross-offs button appears in the header. Tap it to reset every crossed-off item back to not-made, ready for a new week. It never changes what’s on the menu, so your weekly staples stay put.

Reading availability

Each recipe row shows an availability button. “On hand” means a Pantry row you’ve bought whose reminder clock hasn’t come due again.

Tap Print in the header to put the week on the fridge. The printout drops the interactive controls and keeps the list; crossed-off items print struck through.
