Ingredients
Mirepoix comes with a built-in ingredient catalog — a master list of ingredients, each with its own name and aisle, and most with nutrition — and matches your recipes, Pantry, and grocery list against it. There’s nothing to build or keep up by hand.

What the catalog does for you
- Matching — Mirepoix matches each ingredient line in a recipe to the catalog entry it means when it can, so two recipes that word an ingredient differently still share it. See Check ingredients.
- Shopping names — the Pantry and the grocery list name a built-in ingredient’s row the way the catalog does, so scallions and spring onions share one Green onions row. See What a row is called.
- Aisles — every built-in ingredient comes with a grocery aisle, so it has a place on your list from the start.
- Reminders — every built-in ingredient comes with a starting length for how often the Pantry asks about it.
- Nutrition — a recipe’s nutrition panel is built from the catalog’s nutrition figures and weights.
A name the catalog doesn’t know still shops: it can go on your grocery list under its own name.
Where to change things
The catalog is shared by every kitchen, and Mirepoix keeps it up. What you set from these places is your kitchen’s own:
