Leaving a kitchen
Leave a kitchen you no longer want access to from the Settings page. You keep your account; the kitchen keeps your contributions.
- Open Settings and scroll to Leave $kitchen.
- Tap Leave $kitchen.
- Confirm in the dialog that asks Leave $kitchen? You’ll need to be re-invited to get back in.
mirepoix removes you from the kitchen and shows the message You left $kitchen. If you belong to another kitchen, you land there. Otherwise you see the no-access page. The remaining owners receive a notification email.
You lose access to that kitchen’s recipes, menu, groceries, and pantry the moment you confirm. Anything you contributed stays — recipes belong to the kitchen, not to you.
When you’re the only owner
The Leave $kitchen button doesn’t appear if you’re the only owner. The section shows this message instead: You’re the only owner of this kitchen, so you can’t leave it right now. Promote another member to owner first, then come back here.
To leave anyway, open the Members section, tap Make owner next to a member you trust, then return to Leave $kitchen.
When this is your only kitchen
You land on a page that reads You don’t have access to any kitchens right now. From there you can edit your name, sign out, or wait for an invitation. To delete the account itself, sign back in to a kitchen first — account deletion lives on the Settings page.
Coming back
Ask one of the kitchen’s owners to invite you again from Settings → Members → Invite a member. Use the same email address you signed in with.
